DESIGN APPROACH
Rather than relying on heavy patterns or excessive motifs, the design focused on a small number of recognisable Lunar New Year elements used with restraint. Traditional colours were interpreted in a cleaner, more modern way, with spacing and layout kept simple so the frame supported the photo rather than competing with it.
This approach ensures the strip photographs cleanly, avoids feeling dated, and works well across different lighting conditions and group sizes.
PHOTOGRAPHY SETUP
The photobooth was set up with multiple strip options based on the same core design, each using a different colour variation. This gave guests choice while keeping the overall look consistent, making it especially suitable for Lunar New Year events with mixed audiences.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
The result was a Lunar New Year photobooth that felt festive without overpowering the photos. The strips photographed cleanly throughout the event and delivered a cohesive experience by keeping the focus on the people rather than the decoration.
FAQs
Can I use more than one photostrip design at my event?
Yes. Most events use a mix — for example, a custom-designed strip alongside curated templates or guest-designed options. Guests can choose which design they want at the booth.
